Desmond Richard is married to Pastor Nanda Richard he is the father of three and a man known for his passion to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ across the nation of Guyana. He is also the Founder and senior pastor of Word of Life Ministries a Pentecostal church located in the heart of fierce opposition to Christianity. It was amid this persecution that the vision for television was birthed, he was just flicking through the channels one evening and there were programs of every other religion, but nobody was preaching Christ. As the Holy Spirit began to deal with this village preacher he somehow felt the need to try his preaching on television and very soon Word of Life Ministries was on television for about 6 months but then suddenly the owners of the station Jacked up the price and eventually kicked him off. That was when Pastor Desmond Richard saw the need to have Christian television in Guyana, He first began pursuing the relevant license back in 2010 but they were shot down, refused and just nullified, they said we did not meet the requirements; the key sentence was that no licenses would be given to a church. But he continued fighting the Government and other stakeholders for the next 10 years till finally in June 2019 he received a telephone call from the Frequency Management Unit of Guyana, that Channel 23 / Cable 74 was allotted to FIRSTLIGHT BROADCASTING. Many things transpired during the application process that must remain private for the safety of our ministry and that of our station. But I'll tell you this one thing, and that is if you are determined you will get your miracle.

The wife of Pastor Desmond Richard and a mother of three currently serving as the co-pastor of Word of Life Ministries. She is a woman that's very much grounded in her faith, her life is built on prayer and constantly revolves around the building up of the kingdom of God. The positive spirit and the friendly atmosphere she creates is definitly impacting the furtherance of FIRSTLIGHT BROADCASTING TELEVISION.

Joel Richard is the Chief Executive Officer of Firstlight Tv whose primary responsibilities include making the major decisions and managing the overall operations and resources of FIRSTLIGHT BROADCASTING, acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors and other departments of the station. He is also a lead musician and Youth Pastor at Word of Life Ministries
